[ABSTRACT] In this paper we review some of the better known ethical theories: realistic ethics, deontology, utilitarianism and principialism; underscoring the presence of unavoidable presuppositions in their conceptual basis. Also we review the dialogic bioethics with focus on its underlying assumptions and its axiological ambiguities. The presuppositions underlying the structure of ethical theories are intellectually debatable, and they lack in sufficient self evidence to be universally accepte...
