RESUMEN

[ABSTRACT] Patients with bipolar disorder presented along multiple relapses of their illness and fluctuations. But the lithium is the main drug used in the maintenance, some patients do not respond adequately, to it so it becomes necessary to use other drugs to keep the euthymic. In this article reported two patients with bipolar disorder type I and IV treated with quetiapine plus valproic acid to two years and a half to three years of continuous treatment.
